The MDAX company Suedzucker em-
ploys 17,700 workers with 6.2 billion Euro
annual sales and a production of 4.2 mil-
lion tons of sugar each year. Since being
established in 1926 it has become today’s
specialist in sugar, CropEnergies and
fruit and has enjoyed worldwide success.
Both steam boilers, constructed in 1962
and installed at Rain am Lech were

and MC 5001.3 with oxygen regulation
equipment oxygen. Special attention
was paid to the adherence to the TA
air emission limits, also with regard to
the special construction of the boilers.
The Enecogen gas and steam turbine power plant will supply
1.4 million Dutch households with climate- and environmen-
tally friendly energy. The auxiliary steam generator along with
the gas burner

®
M 10003.5 has the important task of
keeping the steam network stable and insuring that a start-up of
the combustion capacity of both turbines is possible.
For astebo GmbH the initial operation of the auxiliary steam
boiler with 28 tons power in Rotterdam was successfully com-
pleted. The power data of the burner show a regulation ratio of
1:10 with NOx emissions below 70 mg/kWh in accordance with
the Dutch requirements.

On invitation by EnBW the dreizler
®
team visited the heating plant on site in
Altbach/Deizisau. EnBW operates sever-
al plants there with a total electrical pow-
er of ca. 1,200 MW. The power plant feeds
its current into the 400 kilovolt network
for the Stuttgart area and guarantees an
economical, reliable and environmentally
sound source of electrical energy.
